"I’m 5’4” and weigh anywhere between 230-240 lbs usually. I carry most of my weight in my belly, hips and thighs. Based on the dress description (no stretch in the material) and the general size guide listed, I ordered a 2x. Normally, I wear a 1x in tops and dresses, especially if I don’t want them TIGHT. I tried on the dress, and I do love it (it’s in the wash now), but I do wish I had gotten the 1x. The 2x is very roomy on me, especially up top in the chest area. That being said, the tie around the waist does the job of making it a better fit for me and it is a very comfortable dress. I just wish I had been able to try the 1x to make a better decision. The fabric isn’t heavy, but it is just thick enough to not need any sort of slip on underneath to keep my under garments from showing. Perfect for Spring and even a mild Summer day/night."
